My Lovely Sunset

We took these lovely pictures on our road trip going back to Manila. One of our friend Hart told the driver to stop so that we can take pictures on the adorable sunset.

And I composed a very very short poem. Well, I'm inspired.

I'm not good in creating a poem but I hope I did the right thing. :) here it is:

As we are standing, staring and taking pictures, stupefy,
On the gold and crimson sunset above across the sky,
Filled the magical horizon with the magnificent beauty to behold,
As it dips below the sky, the sun say goodbye to end the day.

Thank you Dino my love for your encouragement.

Returning Home - Road Trip To Manila from Palaui Island, Cagayan

Sunday April 8, 2012.  We woke up at 3:30 AM because this is the day we're going back to Manila. We left the island at 4:22 AM on my watch and we waited for our companion because the boat who picked them was delayed. We started travelling by land at quarter to 5:00 AM and the rain started pouring generously, all the roads we passed was over flowing but it does not stop us going home because it was still safe to travel however, on our road trip to the Blue Lagoon the MMDA stopped us because of falling rocks and some landslides. My heart sank and felt discourage because I thought we will get stranded on the streets and it rained heavily, all we can do was pray that the rains would stop to ease the situation. I think, after 20 minutes they let us passed, thank God. Even it was raining heavily I still enjoyed our road trip and feasted my eyes with those gorgeous karsts of the sea in the coastline and when I looked at the mighty ocean waves, clashing against the rocky coastline, I remembered the rough seas we experienced in the middle of Palaui Island, and I realized I'm still scared. We were not able to make it to the  Blue Lagoon because of the weather condition but I promised to go back in the future.

Saud Beach

Finally, the sun showed up and we're happy but the time we are in Saud Beach the rain started pouring & it seems it's following us. The weird was the sun was bright and the rain was heavy as well, lol. We were not able to take any pictures, since most of us has no water proof camera.  The beach is perfect, it's everything everyone wants to be I guess, 'coz it's not crowded, not noisy and not yet polluted. With those white sand, clear blue water, gesshhh I wanted to jump and dive. :D But the weather didn't allow us.

We went to Polaris Restaurant to have our brunch (breakfast and lunch) but what happened  they serve us for more than 2 hours and worse the crew named Reynante was rude. Good thing the manager and the owner was very accommodating and apologetic. The owner was the one who served us after we complained and waited for our order to arrive for almost three hours. They told us that we will pay 50% off  but  in the end they didn't allow us to pay because they couldn't find our receipt?I felt sorry for the owner because they have an incompetent employees.

Bangui Windmills

Here, we have luck because the SUN finally smiled at us. This is one of my favorite and...... my first time in Ilocos Norte. Looking at it from afar even when we are still in Saud beach all I could exclaimed was WOW.... They look cute and rotating beautifully from afar but when you are near it's so powerful and huge.

Kapurpurawan The White Rock Formations in Ilocos Norte

Our next stop was the Kapurpurawan white rock formations in  Burgos, Ilocos Norte. Watching it from afar seems there's no extra ordinary but seeing it up close at the rugged coast of Burgos, Ilocos Sur,  it's astonishing. The details of the whole area was remarkable and the pristine beauty is breathtaking. Few minutes of walking passing through coastal rocks and bonsai mangroves, the sight of these natural rock formations was really alluring. And it will totally captivate you once you are finally near. Looking at it from where I stood, Truly an amiable and glorious sight to behold.

There are different majestic white lime stone formations in the area. On top of the rugged coast of Kapurpurawan are patches of the handsome view of the bonsai forests. Spectacular.

Palaui Island Hopping Day 2 - On Rough Seas from Anguib Beach

We woke up early today April 7, 2012 and have our breakfast at 6:00 AM sharp and we are all in the boat at 7:00 AM going to Anguib Beach still part of Palaui Island. Still the weather was good and the sun was smiling.

Here are the pictures I took on the way to Anguib Beach
However, when we are about to return to the resort, it's another story. I was looking at the dark grey sky but that doesn't dampen my spirit because it was the same gloomy weather as yesterday. So, I was confident that nothing will happen and we were even enjoying the first bump of the waves to our boat. However, when another waves came and it's bigger than the boat and hit our face that's the time I get scared, The boat we were in was like a piece of cork floating on the water of Palaui Island. I felt like we're inside the washing machine as our boat clashing on those big waves. Although I didn't panic but I was soooo scared that I sat on the floor of the boat so that I couldn't see the big waves and there are so many imagination working on my head. I was thinking of those people who experienced the ship wreck and maybe they felt the same. When we docked I immediately went down of the boat because I wanted to get away from the sea for a moment and composed myself. Thank God we are safe. One of the experienced I couldn't forget. I thought I wouldn't see my family and loveones again. Stupid me.

My Trip To Palaui Island

This will be my first time going to North eastern most part of the Luzon and it happened to be in Palaui, Sta. AnaCagayan. We departed in Quezon Ave. at 5:PM on April 5, 2012 and we stop to have our dinner in Nueva Ecija, and after dinner we travel again. We arrived in Santiago, Isabela at 1Am in the morning. We took some rest and went to McDonald for a coffee break and of course I cannot forget my french fries. We arrived at St. Vincent port at around 6:45, We bought some mineral water because they said there's no store in the island. There are 2 boats waiting for us who will bring us to Palaui Island resort. I think we arrived at the resort where we stayed in Palaui at quater to eight if I'm not mistaken. Finally after a long trip, we were able to breath and relax a bit because after an hour or so we prepared for island hopping.
Our first destination for island hopping was Cape Engaño and while we are on the boat going to the island I was so mesmerized with the beauty of the island with its white beaches, coves, and scenic terrain surrounded by not so huge waves. We did our first trekking to Cape Engaño, an 18th century lighthouse built by the Spaniards, and when we arrived at the top, All I could exclaimed was WOW... I was so tired and almost breathless going up there, lol I'm not exaggerating but it was sooooo hot going up there, but I never regret. It was heaven when you are up there. One of our companion Olive said that the island seen from above is like in Batanes, well I believed her since I never been to Batanes yet. The island is shape by the opposing force of South China Sea and the Pacific Ocean and it was an indescribable beauty.
After Cape Engaño lighthouse, we eat our lunch at the beach and after lunch we immediately went to the water and swam. After 30 minutes we went out of the water because they already called us. Again we trekked for 15mins going to the hidden falls, but we didn't stay long because there are so many people.
We again travelled to the sea by boat and I didn't know long we because I fall asleep on the boat, French our companion she woke me up when we arrived at our destination. Again, we trekked to another hidden falls and the stones going up to the falls are steep and slippery and sad to say I accidentally slipped from the falls. whoaaa, but I'm glad there were no sharps stones.
After the second hidden falls our last destination was the crocodile island but sad to say we were not able to swim because it was high tide. We have no choice but just to take pictures and after that we went back to the resort.
